Our Trip to Texas

Last week I was off for a week for spring break!  Michael was able to get some vacation time so we planned a trip down to Allen, Texas to visit my brother, Scott and his family.  Olivia was so excited to visit her cousins!

On the way down we stopped at McDonald's for a quick breakfast.  Olivia was in tears because she didn't want to go to McDonald's, she wanted to go to Texas! It was really so cute!  We made great time and arrived at the Texas Teson's house in time for dinner!  We had such a fun few days hanging out, playing games, going out to eat, shopping and going to the park.  Allen, Texas is such a neat area and we really enjoyed our time with Scott, Suzanne and the boys!  It was so cute how sweet the boys were with Olivia.  She was in heaven! Patrick, Luke and Joe treated her like their little princess, arguing over who got to sit by her at dinner, hold her hand, and read to her! They even let her sleep with their pillow pets! Andrew let Olivia sleep in his room for three nights and she was so excited!  We had such a wonderful time!  It's been 12 years since I've lived in the same city as my big brother and I miss him dearly!  I loved every minute of our visit to Allen! Thanks Texas Teson's! We love you all!

Happy Birthday Papa!

Today is Michael's dad's birthday!  We are so blessed to have a great father, father-in-law and Papa!!! Johnny and Olivia love their Papa and have such a neat relationship with him! Olivia tells us all the time that she is "Papa's pumpkin pie" and Johnny could sit on Papa's lap and read a book or play with a ball all day! We love you Papa! Hope your day was great!!

Johnny's 1st Haircut

Our sweet boy got his first haircut yesterday.  He has so much more hair than Olivia ever did at ten months!  He was looking a little shaggy so we went to see Mema!  Johnny sat still and hardly made a peep during his first haircut.  He was such a good boy and Mema did a great job.  Daddy helped hold Mr. Johnny and keep him happy.  Thank you so much Mema for making our little man look so good!

Michael, Olivia and Johnny sure made me feel special on my big day!  I cannot believe I am 33! Oh my word!!  Olivia sang to me all night long on my birthday!  It was just the sweetest thing!!  Here is a little video I taped.  I wish I could figure out how to make it go the correct way!  Sorry!

My Little Artist

Olivia is so into art these days!!  It starts as early as 7:00 a.m. most mornings!!  The minute we enter the kitchen she usually proclaims"I want to paint mommy!" or "Let's color together!"  She sits at the table and keeps herself busy for a good thirty minutes working away!  Our refrigerator is covered these days with her many masterpieces!

Happy New Year

I can't believe today is the last day of my winter break! It has been so nice to be home with my little ones and the hubs for the last week and a half!  Although we were very busy, we did have time to slow down and enjoy lots of play time, a few pajama days and many fun memories!  Michael and I turned our front room into a playroom and Olivia is just so excited!
On December 30th my sweet sister-in-law came to the house to watch Olivia and Johnny so Michael and I could have a date night! So fun!  Thanks Jamie!  On New Year's Eve our little family stayed in to welcome the New Year.  Michael grilled steaks, Olivia drank sparkling grape juice and blew noise makers and Johnny and I just hung out.  Michael and I were laughing because both of our parents were out that night.  Times have changed!  We had so much fun and wouldn't change anything!

Last weekend Michael was at work and I was in desperate need of a few hours to wrap presents and get organized!  My mom and dad came by to pick up Miss Olivia for a day of fun at Crown Center!  Olivia was so excited to hang out with Grammie, Grandad and her buddy Colin!  Grammie was so sweet to take my camera and snap a few pics!  She agrees with me that Miss O is not the easiest to photograph!! The girl never stops moving!  She had a blast riding the train and eating at Fritz's for lunch! Thanks Grammie, Grandad and Colin for a super fun day!
